When does the New arrive?

At eight in the morning, your device time, once a day. Just one. Miss a day and nothing is lost — there is no streak to keep up.

How do I change my topic?

Settings → Topic. On the free plan the new topic starts the next morning; today's New stays as it is. Picking your current topic again cancels a pending change.

I am not getting notifications

Open Settings in the app; if you see a "Turn on notifications" row, tap it. Otherwise open your device Settings, find OneNew and allow notifications. The app sends nothing but that one morning New.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold your home screen, tap +, then look for OneNew. There are three styles under Settings → Widget style. The widget turns over at midnight on its own, without the app being opened.

What does Pro include?

All five topics every day, the full archive of past days, widget themes, and no ads. $1.99 a month after a 3-day free trial, or $9.99 a year.

I bought Pro but the app does not see it

Open the Pro screen in the app and tap "Restore". Purchases are tied to your Apple or Google account, so a new device or a fresh install can always get them back.

How do I cancel?

On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app does NOT cancel a subscription — this catches people out most often.

Where does the content come from?

Film data from TMDB. Music from MusicBrainz and Apple Music. Books from Open Library and Apple Books. Art from The Met Open Access and Wikimedia Commons. Food written by us.
